As a 25 year old West ham fan I have not had to endure as much torture as most of you but honestly I'm done now.i.will never put another pence into the club be it a ticket or merchandise , being West ham in its self is hard enough growing up surrounded by glory hunters but I didn't care because it always felt good being the odd one out , used to hear stories about brooking from my dad and how we won the world cup but it's lost all its gloss now., I really am done until the dirty nonse cunts fuck off . I see some people trying too justify the sale you need to take a long hard look at your self and I know alot of you don't give a fuck but we all need to stick together and take a stance if we all have the same mentally I promise them cunts will be gone before we know it

It all started with the Sky deal and massive injection of money turning it into a corporate sponsored political tool slowly day-by-day pushing the envelope sanitising and sucking out the very pleasures attending football once gave.

I consciously stopped buying a season ticket out of principal around the Rio sale era electing to pick and choose at will, then the whole unfortunate Glenn Roeder thing then GSB forcing me and friends decide only away games would be considered, their immediate undermining of current manager Zola telling the papers they disliked him and want him off as soon as [while still in need of points to fight relegation] to then give it to opportunist Avram Grant pretty much sealing the deal and since then it's just been a general falling out of love for the sport as every day players are used to promote LGBT bullshit and other non-football related agendas while sucking the soul out of the game and matchday experience.

Seeing fans these days in a soulless stadium, not allowed to stand, sing and sgout at the top of their lungs with the game sporadically being put on hold while waiting for a VAR screen to declare whether a goal stands or not [with corruptible officials handling the VAR decision!] kind of makes a mockery of the entire game.

Sometimes I can hardly be arsed to even look for a link to watch some games nowadays

Yeah well if we win 3 FA Cups in the next 40 years I’ll die a happy man.

They can't make any money out of your memories, so they don't really give a fuck about them.

That goes for every other fan too, none of your memories are worth shit to the board.

"Does anyone think it was any better under the fucking Cearns."

Yeah, me - I do. A lot fucking better.

Where have you been the last few years mate? Your post makes no sense - winning or not winning is irrelevant, that was the whole point of the original post.

Re: Done
Strange for me watching all the text messages counting down to me not being a season ticket holder for the first time in 30 years.

'Last chance as it's a 5pm deadline on Friday to renew'.

I watched it lapse and me and my brother both said 'fucking hell, the end of an era' with some sadness although we feel strongly that we'll not put a penny into that poison dwarf's sky anymore, ever.

Then we get a text message saying the renewal deadline has been extended to Wednesday. They can poke that too.

It's got absolutely nothing to do with losing jobs and not being able to afford a season ticket and everything to do with with the greedy pigs treating our loyalty like a cash cow that they can constantly milk without feeding.

We will not set foot into that stadium until the current incumbents have fucked off, happy that they can live the life of the super rich but never really accepted in those circles and occasional coming up against the well-to-do regular supporter who ruins their holiday for the rest of their lives.

You've ruined a massive part of my upbringing, memories of friends who are no longer with us, girlfriends, my parents and uncles sitting with me on the terraces (now dead) and a million tiny remnants of my childhood, adolescent and adult life, just to turn a few quid.

Die you cunts.

Re: Done

The fact we have been able to fill the stadium and more week-in week-out shows the missed potential of the club over the years.

This was supposed to lift us to the next level and we are no further ahead, if not behind where we were before we moved.

"I could have handled being shit at Upton Park or being great at Stratford."

That is it - the nail on the head moment for me. We collectively gave up so much, and that was the compromise. A chance to walk away from our spiritual home to become what we all secretly hoped we could be - a team that mattered. Instead of that, as we are reminded every other week, we sold our soul for a shithole and most painfully, we are as far away (if not further) from the dream as ever.

Oh, and modern football is shit (great post Rodent).

That said, if only both of Fredericks' feet were as good as Messi's right foot.

79% of Messi's goals have come from his left foot...

Glenn Rodent 5:03 - Pretty much what I said years ago apart from the dad/son bit.

Life without football is great.
Yes I'm still on a WHU site and still look at scores once in a while.
The Premiership is like if WWE took over football, just a show, not reality, hardly any passion and most players are acting through it.
My main thing is the ridiculous money for players that are useless with the wrong foot, we only have two legs, if we had 8 I'd understand that they might not be great with them all but if you earn £100,000 a week but can't even kick or control a ball with your 'wrong' foot then it really is taking the piss.

Most blokes are lost without booze or football, that's the only thing that football has going for it, it's part of life and most conversations.

Even considering all that I still hate Yid cunts, that'll never change!

Has anybody tried streaming a game whilst having a zoom meeting running in a ribbon either along the bottom or down the side of the screen?

It won't come anywhere near the "matchday experience" but you will have real-time interaction with up to 6 people whilst all watching the game.

If setting this up scares you - ask a grown up. If you're really hard and edgy, simply say it's a bollocks idea. Then do it. If you've got any mates, that is.

Good thread but dam sad to read
Like most dont I feel any connection with the club any more and football itself.
With all respect cant understand people still paying out good money to watch it and just putting up with dishonest owners and players dishing up rubbish week in week out.
Happy to remember standing on the westside with flood lights on watching Bonds giving his soul ,blood and guts every second he was on the pitch.
Just wish I could had that experience with my lad even just a small taste of it together.

I hope lock down has broken the football spell for many fans, now they’ve had time to have a break from it. I couldn’t care less at the moment and same goes for other people I know, even ones in there 20s.
And I can’t believe anyone over the age of 13 would still support the England national team, that whole phoney circus is utterly embarrassing and best left to the likes of Vickypk and vexed.

Re: Done
The game seems pretty corrupt to me, agents to a big extent call the shots, how many times do you read about transfers being held up or finally agreed due to the agents fees? Players going moody, often down to agents stirring the pot, clubs and owners bend over backwards to keep agents happy or onside.

First and foremost the football authorities need to reign these cunts in or curb there power and influence, won’t happen though, brown paper bags and noses in the troughs etc
